Why does sesshomaru hate humans

Ungai plans to take her back to his village, but she insists on staying with Sesshomaru. It surprises Ungai to see a human girl not fearful of a demon. Sesshomaru may remain aloof towards Inuyasha, but there are instances where Sesshomaru is willing to help Inuyasha in his fight against Naraku. Later on, Sesshomaru challenges Inuyasha to see if he's worthy of wielding the"Meido Zangetsuha. Inuyasha told Kagome that she was crazy to think that he needed to believe in the sword to make it work.

Kagome started crying, asking if she should give up hope, only to be told by Inuyasha to shut up and let him protect her. They saw someone ahead, and assuming that it was merely a human, started to attack.

Jaken walked up to him through the grass, and congratulated his master on defeating the men so quickly. He also gave him a hive that could be used to block the black hole in Miroku 's hand. A huge shadowy claw then zoomed across the sky and started wreaking havoc on a town.

They fought for a while before Miroku stepped in and used his Kazaana. Miroku was poisoned and rendered unable to fight. Kagome was seen standing on a hill with her bow and arrow out. Though he initially tried to scare her off, she returned to him, heartened at the smallest show of interest. He walked off, and Rin followed him, becoming his traveling companion.

He was also delighted to learn Tenseiga has its uses and wasn't just a useless sword that couldn't kill. Kagura kidnapped Sesshomaru's young mortal companion Rin. At the same time, Inuyasha had also tracked down Naraku's castle.

He broke through Naraku's barrier with his newly minted Red Tessaiga. Meanwhile, Kagome and the others pursued the lone Jewel shard Kagome sensed, which was Kohaku , who had been charged with guarding Rin. When Naraku became seriously injured, he escaped in a miasma cloud. Naraku telepathically ordered Kohaku to murder Rin.

He released Kohaku to Inuyasha and his group and escaped with Rin. Inuyasha was shocked and started to cry, for he was unable to protect them. Inuyasha went off to be alone, and started cutting down trees and yelling in frustration, seeking vengeance on the Shichinintai and on Naraku. He made one final slash that ripped Naraku's head in half. However, he had no success in destroying him for good, watching as he fled once more.

Kagura appeared, and informed him Naraku had gone to the Border between the Living and the Dead to retrieve the final Jewel shard. She led him to the Gate in the Land of Fire ; there, he drew Tenseiga, pacifying Gozu and Mezu , and allowing him to enter the gate without being turned to stone.

He flew to his father's grave once more, and tried repeatedly to break Naraku's barrier; Naraku taunted him by allowing his superfluous limbs to be destroyed. Kagura, one of reluctant Naraku's incarnations, later betrayed Naraku to obtain her freedom.

Kagura replied, "I see, you thought I was Naraku. Are you disappointed that I'm not Naraku? She looked up at him and smiled as she died before him, dissolving into the wind. The wind was meant to represent Kagura's spirit. Dead bodies in Hell surrounded them, and with his grief for Rin, he used Tenseiga to purify them. When he returned to the living world with Rin's body, his mother scolded him for thinking he was a god who could control life and death, and told him Tenseiga can only revive the same person once, and that when his heart wished to save his "loved one", he must also at that moment feel both sadness and fear, this being what it means for him to have "a compassionate heart".

Much to his relief and happiness, Rin was revived once more. He married Rin, a mortal. More than four years after the fight against Root Head, Rin gave birth to their twin daughters. He then finds Zero having cursed Rin with a silver scale on her neck, and as he attempts to use the Bakusaiga on Zero, she warns him that she used a red threads of destiny meaning that killing her would kill Rin, and tells him that she will remove the cursed she placed on her if he reveals the location of his twin daughters.

However, Rin wouldn't allow it and grabbed his Bakusaiga, and pleased him to end her life. Four years later, he is shown with Zero and Homura on top of a hill, where Zero tasks Homura to burn down the forest with "those accursed half-demons. After a decade, he is seen within the Sacred Tree of Ages, where he seemingly watches as its spirit speaks to his teenage twin daughters and half-niece about their destiny.

After they are sent away by the Tree, it then asks him whether he is fine with letting Rin stay asleep if he continues to forsake her. He just walks away without answering. Many months later, he finally emerges to protect his twin daughters from Kirinmaru's attack.

He and Jaken later noticed Akuru but ignored it and went to check up on Rin. When she suddenly awoke gasping and going into spasms, he realized that Zero was dying and immediately went to the location where his daughters had fought Zero, Setsuna having struck down Zero with her Blood Blade , and commenting on her not using her weapon to strike her down, used Tenseiga to revive her, successfully saving Rin.

This only angered Zero and she destroyed Tenseiga and decided to use her demonic powers and was about to use the Rainbow Pearls when Kirinmaru descended down.

When asked by his longtime devoted retainer Jaken as to whether Setsuna will be capable of fully mastering the Yukari no Takichiri, Sesshomaru simply states that not even he knows if she will, and again takes his leave out of the inner depths of the Sacred Tree of Ages. Let's discuss this Stated "he isn't himself" Now, why is that? Maybe he doesn't really hate InuYasha as much as he maintains, because he is his "little brother. In the 3rd movie their father says he "isn't long for this world"--he was already dying. At any rate, I find it hard to believe having a flaming building collapse on him while a human who, without Sounga, would be no match for Sesshoumaru, who doesn't have his father's power yet or he wouldn't be seeking it.

If you disregard the movie which is possible, I don't know whether it's cannon or not There's still Myoga's explanation in the anime haven't gotten that far in the manga sweatdrop He says But he said the wounds inflicted by Ryuukotsei were ultimately what killed him. As for him not caring, I'm not sure there is enough evidence to say that for sure.

All I've seen of his reaction to his father was Sesshoumaru's usual behavior. He gave away nothing of his own feelings on the matter but his own ambition, which could have meant he didn't care, or that he wasn't about to let emotions or worries show. He denied having anyone to protect even though it's clear he does, so I can't help thinking he might pretend not to care.

Sesshoumaru resented Inuyasha because he felt that his father favored him more over himself, and was angry, hurt, and incredibly jealous. Yet, when it boils down to that very fact that Inuyasha shares the same blood as his own, Sesshoumaru cannot deny that they are indeed half brothers and thus acknowledges, albeit grudgingly, Inuyasha as family.

ViZ's translation of Takahashi's manga sometimes has "little brother" written in italics. Thus, earlier on in the manga Sesshoumaru was forced to accept the "shameful" fact that the hanyou which he loathed so much was indeed his brother. Later through the Meidou Zangetsuha arc in the manga, all of this changes. Sesshoumaru comes to learn what it truely feels to lose something he holds so dear Rin and Kagura to himself.

And I think that through this he somehow got a whiff of the large amounts of pain and suffering Inuyasha went through his whole life just because of his genetics Now another reason why Sesshoumaru resented Inuyasha so much was because he pinned the blame of his father's death on him.
