The Music staff provide teaching for keyboard, strings, brass, woodwind, percussion and singing among others. The purpose-built Music Department comprises a classroom, six large teaching rooms, five practice rooms, electronic studio for keyboard studies, audio studio for computer-based composition GCSE and A Level. Musical organisations include a variety of choirs, orchestra, wind band and swing band. There is also a wide variety of small ensembles and chamber groups for strings, brass, woodwind with or without piano.

A number of concerts are staged each year. The programme is extremely active throughout the College with the Senior School Drama department providing courses from Year 7 to Year The department aims to involve all those wishing to develop their co-curricular and academic interests and sends many students on to drama school. In the Senior School, productions take place once a term.

The playing fields are both extensive and adaptable and sport is strong at the school — in particular hockey, swimming, athletics and riding. However all abilities are welcomed. In the Autumn Term the grass area provides seven rugby pitches which are also used for sevens in the Spring Term.

In the Summer there are five cricket squares and a metre athletics track. The hockey academy has produced a number of international players. The hard court surface in the middle of the field is used for netball in the Spring term and for tennis in the Autumn and Summer terms.

The Sports Hall is used for gymnastics, basketball, badminton, volleyball, indoor hockey, football and indoor tennis. There is also a fully-equipped fitness centre adjoining the Sports Hall. Within the complex is an indoor heated pool which is used at various times for swimming from Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form lessons. Team swimming, canoeing, canoe polo and sub aqua also take place.
